Virtual Home Tours
Virtual Home Tours
First things first, our hearts go out to everyone affected by COVID-19. This is a rough time for everyone and we’re all feeling it. However, we do want to highlight the positive notes we’ve noticed! Our Bakersfield community never fails to pull together and it’s been encouraging to see neighbors check in on one another, families come together and use this opportunity to catch up on quality time.
In the meantime, properties are still being placed on the market and buyers are still moving forward with purchasing their next home. Even though business hasn’t stopped, it also hasn’t been business as usual and the Glentzer Group has made some adjustments to continue serving our clients in all of their real estate needs.
As of the posting date of this blog, all of the information we’re sharing is current. The Glentzer Group is staying up to date on all real estate developments with the National Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors. However, information is updating daily and the best way to stay in the know is via the Glentzer Group Instagram or Facebook page.
Live Virtual Home Tours
In lieu of attending open houses and booking walk throughs, we’ve had to get creative and take things online. Virtual home tours have been offered for quite some time, however they are currently one of the best options while we continue to practice social distancing.
We’re scheduling virtual walk throughs with our clients via FaceTime or other video apps. We schedule a time that works for you and then we walk you through the home and show you all the details.
You’re able to ask questions as we’re going through the home and ask to see any additional spots or details for a closer look! If we are unable to walk through the house for you, we will connect with the seller on your behalf to create a video tour.
Recorded Virtual Home Tours
If we’re not able to schedule a live virtual tour, we are more than happy to walk through the home for you and record the virtual home tour to send to you. As we record we’ll make notes on the property for you to consider.
A virtual home tour is ideal when you’re not able to see it in person because it can show you things that photos can’t, such as the flow of the floor plan.
After you’ve viewed the video, we’ll jump on a call and answer any questions you have and decide on the next step! In both cases, we’re able to give you our professional opinion after being there in person.
If you’re listing a home to sell, a recorded virtual tour is a great addition to your listing. We can help you with that! One of the platforms we use is Zillow 3D. It’s easy and can be done with your phone.
Electronic Signature & DocuSign
When you’re ready to put in an offer we’ll prepare everything electronically and send it over via DocuSign or another electronic signature service.
If you’ve never used an electronic signature service, it’s super easy! If you have any questions or need help setting it up, we’ll walk you through it over the phone. The entire paperwork process can be completed electronically which makes it a breeze!

Conclusion
There’s a lot of possible solutions we’re all thinking about and how to best move forward in the current climate.
One solution we’re seeing families consider is one that has already been on the rise, and that’s multiple generations living together under one roof. If that’s something you’ve also considered, click here to read our blog on multigenerational households.
In the meantime, we’re here for our clients and our community as we all get through this time together. We want to support and serve our community in any way we can, so please let us know if there’s anything we can be of service to you and your family during this time.
